You know that feeling when you're doing something and you don't think you're totally being honest and you wonder why you're investing so much time in it even though it's a purely superficial pleasure?

I do.

I think I'm going to be taking a break from this diary world. Indefinitely. I've said it before, and have been wrangled back by friends, but it's time to focus, dear friends.

Don't worry, I'm not heading into the world of white picket fences, a labrador retriever and a weekend home in the ski hills or anything (though the retriever, I will consider). Just need to focus on ME for a bit. It's been a while. I think I've been much too focused on what OTHERS think ABOUT ME, and you know what? Sometimes you get lost in this world and forget about who you really are. You do things more to impress people rather than impress yourself. I've found it a hard lesson to learn, no matter how much I deny it.

Don't mean to sound so deep on such levels as livejournal, but my real diary has been suffering of late and I feel as though I'm not giving myself a proper record.

WIPE WIPE WIPE. SPLASH SPLASH SPLASH. That's the sound of cleansing the hands.

Things are going well. They really are. That's all I can say about that.

Time is also a big issue. We all need time. I am welcome to emails, however. I'm welcome to making it all about the personal touch. So if you fancy keeping in touch and being the occasional penfriend, I'm all over that like a kid over chocolate krackle. Phwoar.
