The Internet is making it fantastically easy to go back into one's past, and makes it less of a big-deal production, therefore decreasing the stalker quotient to 3 instead of 5 out of 5. All one has to do is type a certain combination of letters into a search engine, and bam! Bam! Bam! You gots instant history on one of your missing peoples. Sometimes it's a bad thing, like discovering your best friend from high school is now a toenail collector and hobbyist in The Pas, Manitoba, but for the most part, it's pretty good to see what people have been up to in the void of time that you happened to misplace each other. Of course, it's usually most exciting in the beginning and then oftentimes you lose touch for another few years, get sentimental and rekindle the search. But this time I'm going to be good about this keeping in touch business. However, there's still a few people I'm looking for... people from my past who made me laugh something fierce, or with whom I shared a large part of my painful years in letter form from small town Canada. Perhaps by typing their names here and describing where they're from, maybe by some sheer coincidence, I just might get lucky: Mary Banks (Galway, Ireland. Late 20s-early 30s. Worked at the Sydney Olympics. Very funny lass) Lisa Murphy (Springfield, MA. 25 years-ish. Was a serious NKOTB fan) Kim Harmon (Muncy, PA. 27 years) Carmen Salazar (Bakersfield, CA. Early 30s) Jake Redekop (me olde Finite math chum from Vienna, Ontario. 28 years) Carly Hoffman (Madera, CA. Late 20s) Chris Holden (Star Trek freak from Eden, Ontario. 27 years) Karima Mohammed Noor (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Late 20s) Hillary Johnston (Raleigh, NC. Late 20s-early 30s) Some guy (OK, I better elaborate on this one - I believe his name is Shane, but I could be very wrong. He is originally from Vancouver, born to an Australian mother, and has now been living in either Sydney or Melbourne, Australia, for over 10 years. He worked at the Olympic/Athlete's Village for the Sydney 2000 Games in the Support Operations area. Peppy guy. Likes Star Wars. Note to offonmars: this is my personal mission for you.) :: SHRUG :: Doesn't hurt to try.
