Word up, good ol' snowpaz has joined the information age once again, with a telephone and Internet service. Unfortunately, I've been told that my area has "run out of ports for high speed services", so I must resort to the fun and shenanigans of cooking a meal or playing a full game of Monopoly while a web site loads up for my viewing pleasure. Distraction #1: my new home and my Aussie buddy (which is included in the new home)
Good fun! I walked to the bookstore this evening and read a few snippets from Matt Groening's Da Capo Best Music Writing and marvelled at the articles written about Tom Waits and the Weakerthans. I should really sign up for that writing course just so I can surround myself with more creativity. I'll get on that tomorrow. Like the rest of the things on my to-do list (which involves other do-able things like bedding Topher Grace and developing buns of steel without having to actually move a muscle). Distraction #2: Near the 'pad. It comes complete with a nearby mountain range, a lovely bay and richie yuppie types who can actually afford to live in this town and do things beyond going to work and walking. I am still smiling because life is pretty damn good, money or no money. Though I would prefer to be a part of the former, I will get by.
I have been eating nutella and banana sandwiches for the past three mornings. I had a nutella and banana crepe the day before. You would think I'd be all nutella'ed out by this point, but I'm quite eager for more. My workmates like to go out drinking way too much. I feel like I'm the old granny. Distraction #3: why does no one remember this freaking show? It is THE most underrated 80s show. Ever.
The End. The Internet steals way too much of my time.
And I feel fine....... - 2004-02-23 |
